Raketa Inc. (“Raketa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Raketa website, mobile application, and related services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, when it is shared, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. It applies when you browse Raketa, create an account, book or host a game, reserve a court, or place an order through our services.
1.Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Raketa, we may collect:
- Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, password credentials managed by our authentication provider, and profile details you choose to provide, such as date of birth, playing style, skill level, or a profile photo.
- Games and community activity: queue entries, match and score records, ratings, rankings, club or venue memberships, and information you provide when joining or organizing a game. Some names, ratings, and game results may be visible to other users or displayed on public leaderboards.
- Venue information: venue and court details, schedules, prices, contact details, photos, and other information submitted by venue owners or people suggesting a venue.
- Bookings and payments: reservation dates, court or venue, contact details, booking status, and payment status. If you upload payment proof, we process the image and related booking information. Payment details processed by a payment provider are handled under that provider’s privacy terms.
- Shop orders and subscriptions: name, email, phone number, shipping address, items ordered, and order notes. If you subscribe to shop updates, we also process your email address and any name you provide for that subscription.
- Messages to us: the information you include when contacting support, submitting a venue, or reporting a problem.
- Technical and diagnostic information: basic request and device information needed to operate and secure the services, plus error and performance diagnostics. Our error monitoring is configured to remove or obscure certain sensitive details before reports are sent, but diagnostic reports may still contain information about the affected request or device.
You can browse some public pages without an account. If you provide information about another person, make sure you are authorized to do so and have given them this notice.
2.How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Operate accounts, profiles, queues, games, ratings, and community features;
- Arrange court reservations and share booking details with the relevant venue;
- Process shop orders, payments, payment verification, and customer service;
- Send account verification, booking, order, security, and other service messages;
- Send shop updates if you subscribe, with an unsubscribe option in those messages;
- Respond to support requests and communicate important service changes;
- Protect the services, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We process information for these purposes and on applicable legal grounds, including providing a service you request, meeting legal obligations, our legitimate operational interests where those interests do not override your rights, and consent where required. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it, subject to legal or service requirements.
3.How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it in these limited situations:
- Venues and other users: booking details are shared with the venue handling your reservation so it can manage the booking. Game, queue, profile, and leaderboard information may be visible to people using the relevant community feature. Venue operators are responsible for their own handling of information they receive.
- Service providers: we use providers that support hosting, databases and authentication, email delivery, payment processing, file storage, and error monitoring. These include Supabase, Resend, PayMongo, and Sentry when error monitoring is enabled. These providers process information to provide services to us under their applicable terms and safeguards.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Raketa, or the public, and to address fraud or security issues.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
4.Cookies and Local Storage
Raketa uses browser storage and similar technologies to support functions such as authentication, remembering your display preference, and preserving information needed for an in-progress booking or shopping cart. Your browser may also send technical information with requests. You can manage or clear browser storage through your browser settings, though some features may then stop working properly. We do not use these technologies to serve targeted advertising.
5.Retention and Security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the services and fulfill the purposes described here, including resolving disputes, maintaining records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record and context. For example, uploaded payment proof for a confirmed court reservation is scheduled for deletion after the reservation date. Some records may remain when needed for legal, accounting, security, or dispute purposes.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6.Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can update certain profile information in your account. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion or blocking, objection, data portability, or to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Some requests may be limited by applicable law or by records we must retain. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
To make a request, email hello@raketa.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
7.Children and Minors
Minors should use Raketa with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Parents or guardians should help minors understand what information they share and avoid providing more information than is needed to participate. If you believe a child’s information was collected inappropriately, contact us so we can review it.
8.International Processing
Raketa and its service providers may process or store information in countries outside your own. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps required by applicable law to protect it.
9.Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will post the revised version here and update its effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
